Henderson: A Place to Play
By Stephen Roberts | July 28, 2009
For the second year in a row, the city of Henderson has been recognized as a great place for kids to play and have fun. According to the KaBoom! organization out of Washington, they named Henderson as one of 93 play cities recognized this year.
Henderson is qualified for special playground equipment that will be awarded to five of the 2009 Playful Cities. The city can afford to promote play, even due to the bad economy because of the special funding that it receives from the federal Bureau of Land Management.
The city is continuing to make Henderson a very safe, and family orientated community, despite the popular Las Vegas reputation of being Sin City. They are making that separation between Henderson and Las Vegas and creating a very family orientated city here in Henderson.
If you are raising children and want to live in an area developing many parks and recreational activities for children, then you may want to consider buying in Henderson.
